
The International Association for Research on Textbooks and Educational Media (IARTEM) is pleased to announce the development of a new eJournal Research on Textbooks and Educational Media (The IARTEM e-Journal).
The articles accepted for publication will be blind peer reviewed by at least two reviewers.
The eJournal will be published on the internet electronically, to maximize access and the dissemination of results. The majority of eJournal publications will be in English. However, the eJournal may contain publications in other languages with English abstracts. The eJournal will be published twice a year. One issue annually will be devoted to specific topics and themes.

This volume presents papers which were presented during the 10th IARTEM conference on textbooks and educational media, held at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain in September 2009, “Local, National and Transnational Identities in Textbooks and Educational Media”. More than hundred participants attended the conference, coming from five continents and fourty different countries.
This volume presents papers which were presented during the 9th IARTEM conference on learning and educational media, held at Vestfold College, Norway in September 2007, “Peace, democratisation and reconciliation in textbooks and educational media”. More than eighty participants attended the conference, coming from five continents and thirty different countries.
This volume gathers the major part of the contributions which have been presented during the 8th IARTEM conference on learning and educational media, held in Caen in October 2005, “Caught in the Web or lost in the Textbook?”.
