Article submission to the Journal of Research on Textbooks and Educational
media.
Notes for Contributors
The
Editors invite submission of papers related to the aim of the Journal
of Research on Textbooks and Educational media. Papers will not be considered
of they have been published previously or are being considered for publication
elsewhere. All papers will be fully referred by two blind reviewers
in a blind review process.
Manuscripts
1. Manuscripts should be single spaced, with generous margins all round.
An electronic copy should be supplied to the administrator
of the eJournal in Word-format.
2. Each article should have at least following items:
- title
- complete communication details of all authors
-- Four - five descriptive keywords
-- main body of paper
-- references
3. Footnotes and endnotes are not accepted, all such information should
be included in mail text.
4. The paragraphs should not be indented. There should be one line space
between consecutive paragraphs. There should be single space between
full stop of previous sentence and first word of next sentence in a
paragraph.
5. The keywords (just after the abstract) should be separated by comma,
and each keyword phrase should have initial caps (for example, Internet
based system, Distance learning).
6. Do not use "underline" to highlight text. Use "italic"
instead.
7. Headings. Articles should be subdivided into unnumbered sections,
using short, meaningful sub-headings. Please use only two level headings
as far as possible. There should be one blank line after each heading
and two blank lines before each heading (except when two headings are
consecutive, there should be one blank like between them).
8. Tables
Tables should be included in the text at appropriate places and centered
horizontally. Captions (maximum 6 to 8 words each) must be provided
for every table (below the table) and must be referenced in the text.
9. Figures
Figures should be included in the text at appropriate places and centered
horizontally. Captions (maximum 6 - 8 words each) must be provided for
every figure (below the figure) and must be referenced in the text.
The figures must NOT be larger then 500 pixels in width.
Please provide all figures separately in GIF or JPEG (JPG) formats besides
embedding them in the text.
10. For anonymity in the reviewing process, authors' names, affiliations,
postal addresses and telephone numbers should appear on a separate email
to the attachment containing the article submitted.
11. Articles should be approximately between 6,000 and 10,000 words
in length.
12. An abstract
of approximately 150 words should accompany each manuscript.
13. No payment will be made for articles submitted or commissioned for
the IARTEM eJournal.
14. Potential authors will be asked to verify authorship before prior
to the publication of any article or paper. Authors should be aware
that consent must be obtained from IARTEM prior to publication elsewhere
of papers published in the IARTEM eJournal.
15. References should be indicated in the manuscript
using the Harvard System by giving the authors' name
with the year of publication in parentheses. The full names and first
names of authors should be included in references. If several papers
by the same author and from the same year are cited, a, b etc. should
be placed after the year of publication. References should be listed
in full at the end of the paper in the following format: All references
should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the article under
the heading "References".

16. The required data format is Microsoft Word 2000 or earlier.
17. The language of the journal will be English, however, submissions
in other languages will be considered by the managing editors.
Proofs
Prior to publication proofs will be sent to the authors of there is
sufficient time to do so. They should be corrected and returned to the
Managing Editor within three days. Major alterations
to the text cannot be accepted.
